We all know that the job market is kind of rough right now, so one would think that when attending a career fair students would bring their A game. I kept pondering this line of thinking over and over,when I realized: maybe this was their A game. If that was the case, I feel very, very sorry for both the students and the unwitting employers who don’t spend quality time screening candidates and end up hiring these people.
Of course, their ineptitude does have the side benefit of making us semi-competent people seem like rockstars by comparison, so, uh, hurray for that I suppose.
I’ve heard tale that the demo for Dragon Age 2 is absolutely abysmal, but I can neither confirm nor deny this report. I hope to try it out this weekend, but something tells me the pending issues that need a fixin’ (a la yesterdays Penny Arcade) will likely devour potential gaming time. Ah well, if I don’t get to play it, then I won’t know how bad it is/was and I can remain blissfully naive.
