Look – we’re not saying that ALL game companies make this tradeoff ALL the time, but there certainly seem to be specific cases where the decisions that get made clearly fall in the category of “we don’t give a rats @$$ about the users experience, we just want our ca$h money.” Recent issues with New Vegas DLC come to mind, and I’m sure you can think of others, as well.
The funny thing is – people are such sheep that they just keep on buying the stuff anyway, regardless of repeated quality issues. I mean, we’re in the flock, too, I’m just saying…
I love my dogs, but their randomly possessive nature vexes me. We have the same toys in the house that we had yesterday, but for some strange reasontoday was the day one of them decided that a particular toy belonged to them, and woe was the other pup for thinking otherwise. A drag down, brutal fight ensued, twice, before the little one eventually gave up. Then, just as quickly as it began the entire thing was over. Sharing ensued, a rainbow appeared, and it was like nothing had happened. All I can say is – WTF!?
